There are two ways to add the bot to your group:
From the bot’s profile: Go to the bot’s profile, click Add to Group or Channel, and select your group.
From a conversation with the bot: Start a private chat with the bot. Once it creates a wallet and you've saved your private key, select Add Bot to Group from the main menu.
Once the bot is in the group, ensure the correct admin permissions are toggled. If everything is set correctly, the bot will send a message to your group with the next steps.
If you added the bot manually (without starting a private message), make sure to set up your wallet. Go to the bot’s messages and click “Start” to generate a default Trench Bot wallet. Save your private key and click “Next.” This step is crucial to begin earning ETH from your group’s trading volume and referrals.
Once your wallet is ready, 🪖Make a Call in your group and start inviting members to join. As they start trading through Trench Bot, you’ll earn both 🤑Referral rewards and from your 💸 Group’s Trading Volume!
Trench Bot needs the correct admin permissions to function properly in your group. This ensures that it can track calls, manage rankings, and help you earn ETH from your group’s trading volume.
After adding Trench Bot, go to your Telegram group’s native settings.
Navigate to Administrators and see if Trench Bot is listed.
If Trench Bot isn’t in the admin list, add it as an administrator.
Once Trench Bot is added, verify that it has the correct permissions.
Toggle the following permissions:
After granting these permissions, you’re all set. Trench Bot will now be able to perform its functions seamlessly.
When you add Trench Bot to your group, it automatically allows members to join freely, using a non-admin approval link. As your group climbs the leaderboard, more members will naturally want to join and participate.
If you’d rather keep your group more private:
With this setting enabled, you’ll manually approve new join requests, giving you more control over who enters your Trench.
A smaller group means less trading activity and lower volume. If you’re aiming to maximize referrals and earnings, leaving the group open to anyone might be the better choice. Just remember to keep an eye out for scammers and manage your Trench carefully.
🔼 Upgrade to a Supergroup with Topics:
For the best experience, upgrade your group to a Telegram supergroup.
Go to https://web.telegram.org/ in a web browser and check your group's URL. If your chat ID starts with -100
, you have a supergroup.
How to upgrade to a supergroup?
The fastest way to do this is to make the group public and private again. Now your group has a new chat ID starting with -100
, which you can verify by going to https://web.telegram.org/ in a web browser and checking your group's URL
